Alvin Leon Stahl Jr. age 75, was born on December 11, 1946, in Beaumont, TX and passed peacefully in his home September 1, 2022, after a battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Leon Stahl Sr. and mother, Susan Natalie Carruth-Stahl. Al is survived by his beautiful wife, Karen Johnson-Stahl, Woodlands, TX. His son, Cordell Parker and wife Jennifer Parker, children, Taylor, Sidney, Jake and Kate, Whitehouse, TX. His two daughters, Neely Herridge and husband Stephen Herridge and children, Tanner, Tess and Hudson, Conroe, TX and Stephanie Walsh and husband Christian Walsh and children, Avery, and Lydia, Huntsville, TX and also survived his brother William J. Stahl of Bolivar, TX.
Al was born and raised in Beaumont, TX, graduating from Forest Park High School in 1966. He served in the military as Marine Corporal (E-4) from 1968 to 1973 and took a tour in Vietnam. After returning home he attended Lamar University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and psychology.
Al and Karen married in 1973 and relocating to Houston. He began his first career as a CPA. After their daughters were born, he began his pursuit of politics. Holding a four-year term in office as Montgomery County Judge jump started his future endeavors in local city council positions.
His second career brought him the enjoyment of creating his own insurance agency, which will proudly live on in his legacy.
He loved being with his grandchildren and creating memories with them that will last forever.
The family is finding comfort in knowing he is in heaven, which he spoke of often in his last few days on earth.
In lieu of flowers, the family is ask that a donation be made to Casa Angelina, an orphanage in Guatemala that Al supported (whatmattersmm.org).
A celebration of life for Alvin will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas.
