Ann Lake Brittain passed away on July 25th after a long battle with kidney disease. Ann was born in Temple, TX in 1944 to Horace and Mabel Couch. The youngest of three children, she grew up fishing with her father, learning to cook with her mother and following her big sister around. In 1964 she married James (Jim) Brittain in Houston, TX. Together they loved nothing more than spending time with family and traveling the country. They were together until his death in 2019.
Ann is survived by her sister Nancy Stent, son James Brittain Jr., daughter Nancy Isaacks, grandchildren Erin-Anne Brittain, Corey Knox, Cody Knox, Caleb Knox-Bruce, Zackery Isaacks, and three great-grandchildren Dahlia Knox, Donovan Herter, and Roy Knox. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and brother Billy Couch.
The family would like to express appreciation for the care team helping Ann through her illness, including Dr. Gregg Hallbauer, Dr. Ojas Naik, and NP Jamie Bruneau.
