Arline Helen Smith

Arline enjoyed spending time with her husband, James, until his death in 2018. She enjoyed being on Lake Conroe, camping, swimming, and water skiing with friends and family. She was a member of the Eastern Star Conroe Lodge 710, where she was very active, holding various positions and offices. She went on numerous cruises with the Eastern Star group and had wonderful memories to share.

Arline is preceded in death by her grandmother Edith Coggins, mother Edith Baumgarth, father Leonard Baumgarth, brothers Michael Baumgarth and Steven Baumgarth.

Arline is survived by her step-daughters Rebecca Kennedy and husband Kevin, Loretta Fanning and husband Jeff, Teressa Voltz and husband Morris and Jennifer Hooper; grandchildren Amy Dick and husband Michael, Sarah Hosey and husband Nathan, Jessica Voltz, Chelsea Hill and husband Kory, Jacob Voltz and wife Hailee, Jade Hooper and Lia Hooper; and her great grandchildren Kennedy Dick, Kent Dick, Coleson Dick, Katelyn Hosey, Aurora Voltz and Lilah Voltz. She is also survived by her nieces Pamela Graham, Michelle Jones, Hanna Marquis and Rachael Brenner, whom she loved dearly.

A memorial service for Arline will be held Saturday November 7, 2026, at 10am at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe TX 77304.
