Artis Earl Johnson

Pat was born May 6, 1947 to Nib and Valeria Johnson in Nacogdoches, Texas. He was always extremely proud to be a true Texan, born and raised. He enjoyed his dogs, trucks, motorcycle, camping, being and working outdoors as well as the company of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed as a beloved husband and father.

He joined the United States Army and serviced in Vietnam as a medical corpsman awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked hard his entire life but spent his last 30 years of employment in Quality Assurance/ Quality Control gases and oil related industries in Houston, Texas.

Pat passed away peacefully at home leaving behind his wife of 40 years Ronnie Walker Johnson, son Patrick, daughter Angela (grandchildren Christopher and Shannon) and sister Baby Ruthe Jackson. His life was further blessed with numerous family members including nieces, nephews, cousins and great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by his beloved mother Valeria Walters Johnson and brother Arthur.

A short, private military service for immediate family will be held at graveside during entombment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
