Barbara Ann Johnson, beloved wife and mother, was born November 24, 1937 in Jacksonville, Texas. She later moved to Pasadena, Texas and was married to her high school sweetheart, Johnny Johnson, for 62 years. She passed away peacefully at home in Montgomery, Texas on December 15, 2018 surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara graduated from Pasadena High School and attended Draughon’s Business College. She and Johnny started their family in Conroe, Texas and later established Carey Limousine of Houston. She was an avid golfer, loved traveling and enjoyed spending time at her vacation homes in Ruidoso, New Mexico and Port Lavaca, Texas. “Honey,” as she was affectionately known, was a member of the Lake Conroe Republican Women’s Association, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, American Business Women’s Association, April Sound Ladies Association, April Sound golf groups including the “Traveling Sounders” and the Ladies “Nine-Holers,” Alto Lakes Ladies Golf Association, and a lifetime member of both Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and Montgomery County Fair Association. She was a long-time member of April Sound Country Club and Alto Lakes Country Club in Ruidoso, New Mexico where she enjoyed her many friendships. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Ethyl “Polly” McAnally. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Johnson; son Johnny Johnson Jr.; daughter Jenny Minchew and husband Don; son Alan Johnson and wife Anita; grandchildren Lynnly Muncherjee and husband Ash, Ashly Gold and husband Josh, Megan Johnson, Calan Johnson, Kaudia Johnson and Wyatt Johnson; great grandchildren Alisha Muncherjee, Addison Muncherjee and Cade Muncherjee; brother Edward McAnally and wife Beverly; and her beloved pets, Miss Priss and Henry. A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm at First Methodist Conroe, located at 4308 West Davis Street, Conroe, TX 77304. Memorial donations in memory of Barbara can be made to a charity of your choice.
