Funeral services for Bertha Corbett will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at Mims Baptist Church (1609 Porter Road, Conroe, TX) with Rev. Gene Kendrick officiating. Following the service, internment will occur at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens (12911 FM 2025 Rd, Cleveland, TX). After internment there will be time to visit and a luncheon at Mims Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home (801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX). Bertha was born October 29, 1919 in Cowley, Montana to Fred and Maria Malicote and passed away February 25, 2014 in Conroe, Texas. Bertha was a long-time member and taught Sunday school at Mims Baptist Church. She loved gardening, travelling, and shopping. She enjoyed her many years working for NASA at The Johnson Space Center as Civilian Payroll Supervisor. She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Leslie Corbett, her mother and father, Marie and Fred Malicote, her sisters Matilda Johnston , Viola Irion, and Anna Malicote. Bertha is survived by daughter Kathy Huff and her husband Deleon; son Mike Corbett and his wife Mary; grandchildren Jimmie Lee, Freddie Lee and Jackie Lee Huff, Alicia Corbett-Boatwright and John Corbett: great grandchild, Michael Huff; and her best friend Bonnie Kay. The family thanks Bonnie very much for all the love and care she provided to Mom during the last few years and especially her last days. The family also thanks Debbie, Almeta, Shalia, Patsy, Deria, Rachael, her Sunday school class at Mims and all her friends for their love and support through the years.
