Bertha Barrera Guerra, 90, of Conroe, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022 in Dunedin, FL surrounded by her loving family. Bertha’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and family. She was the happiest when surrounded by those she loved. Bertha was kind hearted, giving, and full of life. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, dancing, and had a great passion for the outdoors. She loved talking on the phone with her kids while watching her colorful Crape Myrtles bloom while sitting on her front porch for hours, as well as her caring for her rose bushes. Bertha will be greatly missed by her family that adored her.
Bertha was born January 21, 1932 in Los Guerra, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and is preceded in death by her parents Mauricio and Faustina Barrera, her loving husband, Roberto Guerra Casanova, Mother-in-law, Lorenza Casanova Guerra, her daughter, Santa Martha Guerra, brothers: Francisco, Alvaro, Mauricio Barrera, sisters: Maria De Jesus Hinojosa and Anastacia Rodriguez. Bertha is survived by her 10 children; Nereida Moreno and husband Mario, Eron Guerra and wife Leticia, Eden Guerra and wife Maria Luisa, Efren Guerra and wife Maria Isabel, Eduardo Guerra and wife Marbella, Bertha Garcia and husband Benito, Humberto Guerra wife Alicia (†), Thelma Roman, Norma Rangel and husband Gerardo, Efrain Ruben Guerra and wife Rose Mary Fuentes; followed by 34 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, sister Imelda Navarro and brother Manuel Barrera.
Visitation for Bertha will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cashner Colonial Hall. A rosary will be held thereafter from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Phillip Wilhite officiating. A graveside interment will be held following the mass from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Garden Park Cemetery.

Bertha Barrera Guerra, de 90 años, de Conroe, falleció pacíficamente el viernes 26 de agosto de 2022 en Dunedin, FL, rodeada de su amada familia. La mayor alegría de Bertha en la vida era pasar tiempo con sus hijos y su familia. Ella era más feliz cuando estaba rodeada de aquellos a quienes amaba. Bertha era bondadosa, generosa y llena de vida. Le gustaba viajar, ir de compras, cocinar, bailar y tenía una gran pasión por el aire libre. Le encantaba hablar por teléfono con sus hijos y ver florecer sus coloridos Crespones mientras estaba sentada en el porche delantero por horas, así como cuidar sus rosales. Bertha será extrañada mucho por su familia que la adoraba.

El velorio para Bertha se llevará a cabo el miércoles 7 de septiembre de 2022 de 5:00 p. m. a 7:00 p. m. en Cashner Colonial Hall. Posteriormente se rezará un rosario de 19:00 a 20:00 horas. Se llevará a cabo una misa fúnebre el jueves 8 de septiembre de 2022 de 10:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica Sagrado Corazon de Jesus con el padre Phillip Wilhite como oficiante. Se llevará a cabo un entierro junto a la tumba después de la misa de 11:30 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. en el cementerio Garden Park.
