Beth Maxwell

Beth Maxwell, 72, of Montgomery, passed away on March 27, 2013. She was born on June 9, 1940 in Oakwood, TX. Beth graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Teaching and was a former educator. She was a member of April Sound Ladies Association and the Lake Conroe Area Republican Women. In 2000 she was honored as the Woman of the Year for the April Sound Ladies Association. Beth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Conroe and the beacon Class. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a caring and compassionate person. All that met her became an instant friend and she never met a stranger.

Beth is survived by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Pam Finke and her husband Gary; grandson, Clay Finke; mother, Mary Gist; brother, Bill and his wife Kay Gist; numerous nieces, nephews, and treasured friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Metcalf Funeral Directors Conroe, TX. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Conroe at 11 AM. Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM at Oakwood City Cemetery in Oakwood, TX.
