Betty Jean Carnes, 84, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was born on January 8, 1929, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Marion and Martha Haifley. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Betty is survived by daughter, Martha Hammond of Montgomery, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sue Carnes of Indianapolis, Indiana, and grandchildren Tony and wife Brooke Carnes and great-grandchild Gia Carnes. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place on September 19, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at Strake House Senior Living located at 1701 Westview Blvd. in Conroe, Texas 77304.
