Bill Roach was born on August 13, 1953, at St Joseph’s hospital in Houston, Texas. He went to be with his Lord and savior on August 12, 2023. He was surrounded by his family when he passed peacefully into glory. He left us one day before his birthday, he was 69 about to be 70.
Bill grew up in a big city, but he was a country boy at heart. He eventually moved up to Conroe to get away from the city living. He loved having acres of land where it was peaceful and quiet. He loved to ride his tractor all over the property, sometimes he would ride it for hours when it was nice outside. He loved going out on the lake and fishing any chance he could get. He enjoyed hunting as well. Growing up in a family like ours you can’t help but love sports and he definitely did. He loved his Astros, and I don’t think he ever missed a hockey game, I am pretty sure that was his favorite sport.
He loved his family. He was the 2nd to oldest out of 4 children. He had one older brother and 2 younger sisters. When he was in his mid 20’s he met Jody, they married and were married for 44 years. Bill had 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren with one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his Dad Billy Roach Sr., and stepdad Wayne Hilton aka Pop, his older brother Michael Hilton, his grandparents Jimmy and Alberta Owens, his great aunts Ruby, Estelle, Dean and Mother-in-law Tiny Self.
He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Jody Roach. Daughters Angela Mehl and husband David, Aimee Day and Stephanie Roland. Mother Carolyn Hilton, Sisters Paula Butler and husband Jeff, Kathy Parker and husband Randy. Nephew Aaron Matamoros, nieces Nikki Hilton, Natalie Jones and husband Chad. Grandchildren Mykaela Cruz and husband J.R., Josh and wife Bethany, Seth, Hopelynn, and Daniel Mehl, Ciara Cerda and husband James, Holden Breaux and Titan Day. Great grandchildren James and Elijah Kent, Paisley and James Kinsey, and Rowan Mehl on the way.
