Bob Kopinitz

Bobby served on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957 and then went to work and founded the Kopinitz Company. He was a life-long Methodist and a Member of the First Methodist Church of Conroe for over 30 years. He enjoyed hosting family gatherings and boating on Lake Conroe.

Mr. Kopinitz was preceded in death by his wife, Marian “Tootsie” Kopinitz, grandson, Zachary Luke Elias and great grandson, Dallas East Thompson.

He is survived by 3 children Debora East & husband, Dale, David Kopinitz & wife, Susan and Marianne Elias & husband, Roosevelt; 5 grandchildren, Brian East, Karen Thompson & husband, Justin, Kevin East & wife, Adriana, Benjamin Elias, Julianne Elias and a great granddaughter, Sabine Thompson.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, Aug 28, 2026 at Metcalf Funeral Home, in Conroe, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and the Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, Aug 29, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
