Bobby Deloss Sloan died on Saturday, April 3, 2021, with family by his side in Conroe, Texas. He was 84-years-old. Bobby was born on February 14, 1937, in Conroe, Texas.

From the age of 16, Bobby worked tirelessly as a machinist, and he retired from Cameron Iron Works. He married his highschool sweetheart, Amelda, in 1959. His family remembers him as an inventor and a hardworking man. He had a passion for building and rebuilding machines, motors, houses, boats – anything that required mending or making. ROBERT “Butch” & JAN (Meares) LOWRANCE

April 7, 2021

To all the family & loved ones ~
Our sincere condolences. Butch is getting out the 1957 Conroe High School FLARE yearbook to show me Bobby’s profile. Butch knew Bobby when Bobby was a senior & Butch was a sophomore.
He remembers that Bobby was a neat guy, quiet, good at track & had a hot motorcycle?? Prayers for peace & comfort.

Amelda, I have often thought of the time Bobby Dee, Bryant Rice, Carter Moore, myself, and I believe John Cartwright signed up for a "graduation fishing party." Mrs. McCullough, senior class sponsor said something like it was unorthodox, then smiled and said be careful & have fun. We spent two nights fishing up in northeast Texas on Caddo Lake. We all had a great time.

I had the privilege of buying the very first car Bobby Dee restored & supped up. It was a blue 1941 Ford coupe. Was I ever proud of it. Even though I lived across the street from the high school, I couldn't wait to drive it around to the parking lot for all the fellas and a few gals to google at.

Bobby Dee will be greatly missed
