Bobby G. Yancey was born September 17, 1935 in Magnolia, TX and passed away March 06, 2017 at the age of 81. He was born in Magnolia, Texas and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1954, and graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1958. On May 26, 1957, he married Jo Ann Mock and they spent 60 wonderful years together. Bobby served as Justice of the Peace and County Commissioner for Montgomery County from 1960-1970 and at that time was the youngest Judge ever elected in the State of Texas. He opened Conroe Concrete (Yancey Ready Mix) in August 1969 and is still running strong today. In 1990 he purchased and operated Hockley Livestock until 2000. The last 20 years of his life were spent doing what he really loved - ranching in Limestone, Falls and Houston Counties. Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to almost everyone he met. Bobby was a “give you the shirt off of his back” kind of man. He never met a stranger and loved to make you laugh. All who knew him loved him and he will be missed dearly.
