He was born in the Canal Zone, Panama, on April 14, 1943, to Henry Jacob Lutz and Virginia Lequin, both predeceased.
He graduated high school from Canal Zone High School in 1962. He graduated with an associate degree from Canal Zone College in 1965, and in 1968 from Texas A&I/A&M University, Kingsville, Texas with a BA double major in History and Political Science.
Brian worked for McGraw-Hill Publishing Company traveling South America and then worked for and retired from Telautograph Communications Corporation in 1995 as a sales executive and manager. He lived in Houston, Huntsville, and lastly, Conroe, Texas.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Martha Noble-Lutz, son and wife, Douglas and Shannon Lutz, step-son and wife, Jeffrey and Theresa Noble, grandchildren, Alexandria and Cody Mangum, Ian Lutz, Ethan Lutz, Ava Lutz, Madeline Noble, and Jett Noble, niece Mary Lutz, nephews, Brian A. Lutz and Joshua Kolander, sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Raymond Hebert and a multitude of family and friends.
He enjoyed his family and friends, traveling (especially cruising), computers, and his Tesla (T-Rex).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June14, 2025, at Cashner's Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303 with a celebration of life dinner immediately following.
Donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe, Texas.
