Bryce Daulton Rodriquez, 21 of Huntsville left this world on Saturday, December 30, 2022.
He is survived by his parents, John and Laura Rodriquez, paternal grandparents Gloria and John Rodriquez, Sr., maternal grandmother Lorraine Callahan and spouse Ronnie, aunts and uncles Melissa Pantoja, Javier “JP”, Aliza and Patrick Baxter, Sabrina and Kyle Odom, cousins Michael, Shelby, Stewart, Johnny, Oscar, Eric, Stacey, Daniel, Kyle, Danielle, Bubba, Charlie Faye, Randy, Tony, Landon, Journey, Cayden, Izzy, Cash, Taylr, and Riley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Oscar Benefield, uncles Johnnie and Paul Benefield, and aunt Wanda Robinson.
On February 15, 2001, God blessed John and Laura with an oh-so-cute baby boy whom they named Bryce Daulton Rodriquez, a sweet little football, a "turtle" if you will. Why a football? When swaddled up, Bryce reminded them of a football. Why a turtle? At only four days old, he was lifting his little head, looking around, just like an adorable, little turtle. He was so precious. when Laura‘s mother first saw
him at the hospital, she couldn’t believe how beautiful his skin was. it wasn’t pink and wrinkled. It was tan and smooth and gorgeous. John immediately bought an SUV, so that newborn Bryce would be in safe view of his daddy. John said the Durango was Bryce‘s. They would drive him around in it, and
one day when Bryce would get his license, it would belong to him. and that’s exactly what happened. Bryce drove this Vehicle, not complaining, but with pride from the time he got his license until the day he died.
Bryce was a beautiful young man both inside and out and was loved by more people than he would ever know. He was highly intelligent, and largely self taught. He loved history and philosophy, and with whomever would take the time to listen, Bryce would dive deep into a myriad of topics. He loved reading, and his writing skills were off the chart. He held a long time dream of writing scripts for movies. He also loved nature and could walk for hours amongst the trees. He often
said he could survive in the forest without a care in the world. I am sure it is why he loved animals and owned his special buddy, Paco the parrot. Paco has now become the responsibility of Bryce‘s parents, with whom Paco has a love-hate relationship. Paco can be the sweetest little guy, but he can also be a monster, biting and screeching at the top of his lungs.(Thanks a lot Bryce!)
Bryce was fearless from the time he was a little boy, he was never afraid to sleep alone. He would ride the scariest of roller coasters and ziplines, and when he was still a toddler, his parents turned their heads for two seconds, only to find him halfway up a cliff wall in Colorado. The first time he played paint ball with his dad,
there was not a tear in his eye, a little guy playing with the big guys. He loved video games and movies and would always make sure that his blind mother knew exactly what was going on, scene by scene. It would take them twice as long to watch a show, but it was a great bonding time. His compassion and love ran deep, And he had some amazing friends like Chris, Adam, Caden, Danial, Cogan, Sebastian, James and Aleck. They hung out, loved thrift shopping for "drip" like hoodies and bucket hats, and shared an interest in making films. He even took out quality time to talk to the homeless, no REALLY talk to the homeless. Bryce was a really special guy, and there will never ever be anyone like him. Bryce will forever be missed by many. Loved by many, and held close to their hearts.
