Carl Ralph Blummer, 74, passed away on October 21, 2026 in Conroe, Texas. Born in Houston, Texas on February 27, 1952 to Paul and Sara Blummer, Carl built a life marked by steady work, deep devotion, and a quiet strength that spoke for itself.
From an early age, Carl showed the kind of determination that doesn’t wait on permission or perfect timing. At 20 years old, he bought 11 acres and built his own house—an enduring reflection of the hands-on resolve and self-reliance that would define so much of his life.
Carl had a clear sense of who he was and what mattered to him. As he once put it, “The thought of wearing a suit and tie is suffocating. I rather go to the woods.” That simple statement captured his plainspoken honesty, his independent spirit, and the unmistakable humor he carried with him. He was most at ease outdoors, and those who knew him understood that the woods were not just a preference, but a place where he felt closest to God.
A man who could do or build anything, Carl approached life with the same steadfast effort he brought to every project. He also enjoyed quieter moments—especially a good game of solitaire or freecell—content with the simple pleasures that filled a day.
Above all, Carl was a devoted father. Known as the best girl dad, he could be tough to everyone else, yet he was the sweetest dad to his two girls—loyal, protective, and faithful in the ways that mattered most.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling. He is survived by his two daughters, Haley Blummer, and Kayla Brunson and her husband Daniel; grandchildren, Koraline Adams and Hudson Brunson; as well as 4 siblings and other family members.
