The Angels took Carl Ray Easley home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, April 25, 2025 with his family by his side. Carl, son of Evan Floyd Easley and Jewel Lee Templeton Easley was born April 30, 1943 in Paris, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Jim Woodard, first wife Shirley Jean Vance Easley, two brothers, three sisters and numerous other family members and friends.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl Bell Easley of almost 55years, son Andy Ray Easley and wife Jaymi Schramm, granddaughter Jessica Herndon, one great grandson, three great granddaughters, his sister Neida F. Leclair, brother Kenneth Easley and his best loyal champion “Buddy”. Many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends are also left to treasure his memory.
Carl attended Vernon High School and served in the U.S. Army as an Engineer Equipment Mechanic for three years. He then went on to become a high-rise tower crane operator for H.A. Lott and Gene D. Liggin, Inc. for approximately 60 years. He was very proud and loved his job.
He loved his home, family, and friends. His ultimate love was fast cars, boats, and corvettes. He enjoyed spending his free time at the drag strip. He was nicknamed “Quick Carl” by his friends.
The family would like to thank everyone for helping out during our time of need. A special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice and Synergy Home Care for all the care and support they gave. They could not have been better.
A graveside service for Carl will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Conroe Memorial Park, 1600 Porter Rd, Conroe, Texas 77301.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Carl’s name to the St. Jude Children Center or to The American ASPCA.
