

Carol Grabein was born June 4, 1933 to Clyde and Katherine Manos in Southwest City, Missouri. She passed peacefully in the early morning on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the age of 79. She had been living at the Regent Care Center in The Woodlands, TX, after a major stroke in 2007.
Carol was the oldest of four children, brother -Jimmy Manos, sister - Barbara Morrison (deceased), and youngest sister, Wanda Klogdinski (deceased).
She spent most of her early life in the panhandle of Texas on a dairy farm, surviving the dust bowl, the depression and World War II. Her family eventually settled here in Conroe in the 1944.
While attending Conroe high school, she met Charles Grabein. She married him in October of 1950 following the death of her father in a gas line explosion in October of 1949.
Carol and Charles were married for 48 years. Together they have 5 children who survive her today.

Craig Grabein & Kristen Barr Grabein (wife) of Tomball, TX As time went on, four of her children gave her 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom are her pride and joy to this day.
Carol's greatest love was working with children which she did as a school secretary for many years. Carol will be remembered as a giving, creative soul who loved nothing more to talk about her children, grandchildren and great-grand children. Her gentle nature and kindness lives on through those children and their families.
