Catherine Etta Hood

She was saved at Bible Baptist Church in Conroe. She enjoyed yard work, going to Vegas, and listening to Elvis and the Gaithers. She often would share stories of her childhood. Catherine was a stay at home mom and grandma, she helped raise numerous children. She was everyone’s ”Memau”. She loved her grandkids and great grands with all her heart. They were the reason she lived. They were her happiness.

Catherine is survived by her daughters Brenda Casteel and husband James, Rita Allen and husband Wallace, son Dwayne Hood and wife Virginia, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and countless friends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Virgie Sweat, sisters Sybil McIntyre and Margaret Thomas, brother William Sweat, and late husband Hayden Hood.

Her family will welcome visitors to Cashner Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00p.m.until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be on Saturday, February 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery.
