Celeste enjoyed volunteering with various organizations over the years. She had a talent with hosting holidays and special event gatherings for friends and family. She liked to spend time shopping, especially when she found something that caught her eye. She loved to travel and especially trips to the beach. Throughout her life she cherished her faithful feline companions, Simon, Tigger and Maddie. She enjoyed attending services at First Baptist Church of Conroe. She was loved by her family and friends and leaves behind many who will miss her.
In honor of Celeste, her family asks you to dress up and take a friend or family member out for a meal and have a glass of wine with them. This would have made her happy.
Preceded in death by her husband James Douglas Howell, her mother and stepfather Dorothy and O.H. Walker and her father Curtis Bradham.
Survived by her brother David Bradham and wife Peggy, son and daughter-in-law Eric and Anjanette Howell, stepdaughter, Rachel Howell, grandson and his wife, Judd and Heather Howell, and her dearly loved great-grandchild Hadley Howell who held a very special place in her heart. Brother-in-law and wife, Chris and Lisa Howell, Ben Howell and Susan Rawls. Her best friend of over 55 years Margaret Madeley and numerous other friends. Her sweet next door neighbor Kelly Gomez and her caregivers in her final days, Bernadine, Peaches and Connie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, US, on August 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Heritage Museum of Montgomery County in Conroe, Texas or the First Baptist Church of Conroe.
