Charlene Mae Linton, age 89, passed away on April 22, 2026. Born on October 15, 1936, in Highland Park, Michigan, she was raised in southeastern Michigan, where the steady values that shaped her life—faithfulness, loyalty, and quiet resilience—took root and endured.
On December 4, 1954, Charlene married Keith Linton, the love of her life, and together they built a family centered on devotion, hard work, and a generous spirit. They welcomed six sons and, through the years, Charlene’s steadfast care and thoughtful presence became a constant source of strength and inspiration to those who knew her best.
Charlene’s working life reflected her determination and willingness to serve wherever she was needed. She began her first job as a soda jerk at a drugstore, later worked at Vivio's Northwood Inn Italian restaurant, and then drove a school bus until retirement—roles she approached with the same kind-heartedness and reliability that marked every part of her life.
A woman of patient skill and heartfelt creativity, Charlene found joy in ceramics, as well as sewing and quilting—hands-on pursuits that suited her thoughtful nature and the care she so freely gave to others. Her life was defined by selflessness, and nowhere was that more evident than in her dedication to caring for her son Jeffrey. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was like no other, and she was widely known as beloved for her heart of gold and her habit of putting others first.
Charlene is survived by her sons: Aaron Linton, Greg Linton (wife, Kim Linton), and Jeffrey Linton. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Julie Ramirez, Nicole Rodriguez (husband, Jason Erving), Alex Linton (wife, Megan), Kailey Alcorta (husband, David), Emily Turner (husband, Jeffrey), Samantha Munson (husband, Cameron), and Randy Watson.

She is also survived by her sister, Gene Johnston.
Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Duane Linton, her sons: Brian Linton, Mark Linton, and Perry Linton, her grandson: Dillon Linton, her mother and father: Ralph & Jessie Cochran, and her siblings: Dorothy, Barbara, Catherine, and Charles.
