Charles Hickman Trotter Sr. was born December 17, 1926 in Minerva, Texas. He passed away on
February 22, 2024 at age of 97 at home in Conroe, Texas.
At age 17 he joined the US Navy, serving from 1944-1946 during World War II as a Petty Officer Third Class signalman on the USS LST 656. After serving in the Navy he went to the University Of Houston. His career was in the petrochemical and power generator field for fifty years both domestic and international including Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and Norway.
He married Fay on April 6, 1968. They lived in Deer Park, Woodville, and on Lake Conroe. They attended The Willis Methodist Church. He was a 65 year Master Mason attending in Rockdale, Texas, Deer Park, Texas, and Willis, Texas. He currently was attending Willis San Jacinto Lodge 106 for over 30 Years. He also belonged to the Houston Scottish Rite.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Fay; his parents Beulah and Charlie Wilson Trotter; and granddaughter Melissa Trotter; brothers Carlton and Billy. Sr is survived by his son Charles H. Trotter, Jr. and wife Sandra of Conroe, Texas, daughter Margala Kimbrough and husband James of Crosby, Texas, daughter Sharon Kent of Tomball, Texas; Grandchildren Kimberly and Tim Falco, Bryan and Kandy Trotter, Phillip Brooks III, Shaun Kent, Brandon Kent, James Kimbrough III; Great grandchildren Karson, Kandon, and Karly Trotter, Chrissy and Phillip Brooks IV, Liam, and Bryson.
Funeral Services will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas on Wednesday
February 28, 2024 at 10:00 am with visitation 9:00-10:00 am prior to service. Graveside services
by the Navy Honor Guard and Conroe American Legion Rifle Guard will follow at Garden Park cemetery.
