Charles Wade Yawn, 81, was born August 3, 1944, in Conroe, Texas, and passed away July 6, 2026. Charles was a very special part of this world for 81 years. He lived a beautiful and meaningful life, and those of us fortunate enough to have known him will forever hold dear his memory. Charles was a soft-spoken man with great patience, and very loyal. His was a friendship to treasure. He also could surprise you with his mischief and fun-loving sense of humor. He had quiet strength and deep faith, which he lived every day in his words and in his actions. We grieve for his passing, but we know in our hearts that the family circle in Heaven is now complete with his parents, his 10 siblings, and other loved ones there.
Charles was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Yawn; his sisters, Geraldine Hickman, Mary Young, Pat Mitchell, Louise Botkin, Annette Weaver, and Beverly Knowlton; his brothers, Bill, Bub, and Johnny Yawn; and his mother, Duma Yawn, and father, Clarence Yawn. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Yawn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Committal Service will follow at Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles David Yawn, Duane Gustafson, Frank Young JR, Paul Dunlap, Blake Gilliland, and Tim Sedman. Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Gilliland and Frank Dunlap Jr.
