January 18, 1924 in Houston, Texas to the late Prajedas Tostado and Guadalupe Velasco Tostado. Proceeded in death by her loving husband Manuel S.M. Soliz ,2 infant sons, 3 of her older sisters and best friend Sallie Birdie.
Charline is survived by her children, sons, John M. Soliz and wife Georganne of Trinity, Texas, Charlie L. Soliz and wife Debbie of Montgomery, Texas, daughters Julia Ann Sanders and husband Neal of Montgomery, Texas, Teresa Strickland and husband Greg of Longview, Texas. Grandchildren Tina Westermann, Angel Pearson and husband Chad, Jennifer Soliz, Christy Corcoran and husband Victor, Margaret Soliz, Hope Soliz,
Keith Soliz, Andrea St.Clair husband Dustin, Charlsie Sanders, Kevin Sanders, Clark Strickland and wife Cortney and Trent Strickland. 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Also survived by sister Julia Ebahart and husband Andrew of Houston, Texas and brother Daniel Tostado and wife Carmen of League City, Texas. Numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends of Conroe and Carmine Texas.
Charline was an active member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Carmine, Texas, member of the Ladies Aid, Carmine Lions Club, American Legion Auxiliary.
She will always be remembered by her wonderful cooking, that she cooked for family and friends. Also for making baby quilts for grandchildren. Charline always looked forward to attending her club meeting, visiting and making new friends, she never met a stranger. It always brought her great joy when asked to bake a cake for the Carmine Volunteer Fire Dept fundraisers or to bring a dish to her other club meetings. Charline’s daily routine is to wake up early get dressed, put her make-up on and was ready to go when family or friends called and invited her to go somewhere.
Visitation on Thursday August 19 at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home. Services on Friday August 20 at 10:30 at Metcalf Funeral Home, burial at Conroe Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers are grandsons: Clark Strickland, Trent Strickland, Kevin Sanders, Keith Soliz nephews Robert Gallegos, Joe Tostado and Godson Joe Frank Cruz. Honary Pallbearers are nephews Michael Gallegos and Roy Gallegos
