Chris A.Rogers passed away into eternal life on July 2, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his husband, Jay Whatley of Porter TX and father, Eugene Rogers of Groves TX. He is survived by his Mother, Mary Rogers of Lubbock TX, Sister, Sandra Gassiott & Husband, John Gassiott of Lubbock TX, Sister, Deborah Zaber & husband, David Zaber of Beaumont TX, Brother, Ricky Rogers & wife, Jammie Rogers of Baytown TX, brother, Kevin Rogers for Nederland TX; 3 Nieces Kayla Gassiott, Mikayla Stewts, Hannah Stewts; 3 Nephews Joshua Rogers, Drew Rogers, Jarred Gassiott; & Wife, Gabby Gassiott & great nieces Aubrey Rogers, Rhylee Rogers, Addison Kirkland, Stevi Gassiott, Livi Kirkland and Great nephews Ashton Rogers, Bralen Rogers, Dante Daniel, Alex Upshaw.
Chris was born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 15th 1975, to Eugene & Mary Rogers. He grew up in Groves, Texas where he graduated from Port Neches Groves High School. Chris attended Immaculate Conception Church in Groves, Texas. He attended Lamar University, and worked many years at the Port Arthur Teacher’s Federal Credit Union in Port Arthur, Texas.
Chris had a very big heart especially for his cats, Keto and Nala. Chris used to love to fish with Dad. Now they are fishing together having the best time. He loved cars & trying different type food and he was an Amazing cook. Chris was a very giving person and had a big heart. Chris was always willing to help us all out when he could. When we needed him, he was always here for us. Chris loved his family and all the kids in our family all the nieces and nephews and they loved him back so much. He used to love joking around with us and laughing & cutting up. All his friends loved him back just as much. You will truly be missed. We all love you with all our hearts.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Rosary and A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday,July 29, 2023 at 12:00 am; at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (3515 Trinity Dr.
