He grew up in Conroe, graduated from Conroe High School in 1977, and also attended Sam Houston State University. From an early age, he had an interest in science, mathematics, and nature. These interests blossomed into a love for geology. Just like his father and grandfather, he put all of those interests to work on a water well drilling rig. His love of drilling and operating equipment made him decide to pursue careers operating winch trucks moving drilling rigs to running boom trucks moving pumping equipment. He proudly passed this knowledge to his sons who followed in his footsteps.
He thoroughly enjoyed his time with the Montgomery County Fair Association. He spent the majority of that time serving on the Calf Scramble Committee. Cliff maintained relationships with the kids he mentored during that time for the rest of his life.
Those who know Cliff would agree that he never met a stranger. He could start up a conversation with anyone and keep them intrigued and laughing as long as possible. He touched many lives and will be remembered by all he met. He will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ralph and Katy Scott; Louie and Mary Weisinger. He is survived by his wife Kim, her sons Christopher Cole Thomas and wife Courtney, and Cole’s son Christopher Cole Thomas, Jr. and Clark McFarland. Cliff is also survived by his sons Cameron and girlfriend Ana, Kristofer and wife Kimberly, their 4 sons (Boone Weisinger, Tate Weisinger, Zachariah Weisinger, and Brent Weisinger), and Caleb.
