Clyde Anthony Breda, 89 years of age, passed away on Sunday January 27, 2019 at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital surrounded by his family. Clyde was born on May 26, 1929 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late Theophile and Marzelie Breda, who both precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Emile, Joseph Theophile, Harry Bernard Sr. and his great-granddaughter Ava Rae Arce. After graduating high school, Clyde met the love of his life, Irma Bolton. After two short years, they wed in 1951. They welcomed their only child, Kenneth Anthony, into the world, in 1956. Clyde became a firefighter, but later pursued a career in the oil industry. He retired at the age of 60. This allowed him to spend his time doing all the things he loved, which included: practicing his Catholic religion, spending time with his beloved family, fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and delivering one liners that made everyone laugh. Clyde will be remembered for his gentle smile, kind heart, quick wit, and his deep love for family. There are good men; there are great men; and then there was Clyde Breda. Clyde is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 65 years, Irma B. Breda; his only child, Kenneth Anthony Breda and wife Kelly; two granddaughters, Jeni Cahill and husband Tim, Kelli Arce and husband Austin; 5 great-grandchildren, Sloan Cahill, Sterling Cahill, Sage Cahill, Cooper Arce, Kamden Arce; siblings, Edgar Breda and wife Ann, Joy White, Doris Carter, Marie West and husband O.D. and sister-in-law Anne Breda; additional extended family: Christy Black and husband Jared, Brady Stapp and wife Kendal, Jaden Black, Tylar Black, Beau Black, Beckham and angel baby Jordan Stapp, and Cotton Black. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Cashner Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 6:30pm with rosary starting at 6:30pm. Funeral mass will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Conroe. Entombment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Arce, Harry Breda, Jr., Joseph Breda, Sr., Tim Cahill, John Hughes, Jr. and Tommy Hughes. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
