We didn't know Cody but I went to junior high and high school with his mom Christi. We are so sorry for you're loss. You've been in our prayers.

I am so very sorry for your loss.  I fondly remember Cody and his brothers from Gibbs Elementary. You and your family are in my prayers.

I have been at a loss for words since I was told. I am still at a loss, but I want Cody's family to know that I am truly sorry this has happened. He was a wonderful person, and he will be missed greatly.

My condolences to Cody’s family during this grievous moment in their lives.  It is hard to find words to express the shock and disbelief I felt when hearing of Cody’s passing. I will always carry fond memories of my brief interaction with  his life.

Thoughts and prayers for family. A loss to the City of Huntsville. 

I still remember that smile. He was always so happy. I'm not going to share A memory.. I will just say all of mine with him were good! He will be truly missed. And I regret losing touch.

Dear Cody (My Brother)

First and foremost, I cannot believe I am writing something like this about you. As these tears fall, I can only remember the good times we shared in the military. Our friendship started in basic training, then lead to our first duty station in Ft. Stewart, GA and beyond to even after our military career ended-- we were still connected; every conversation was like picking back up from where we left off. Since you passed my mind has been all over the place. I want to send my prayers and love to your family, I pray that God comforts you, gives you strength and peace that surpasses all understanding during this difficult time. This is definitely not going to be easy my brother, I still want to believe it’s a dream, but then I wake up and reality hits. To your lovely wife and your precious baby boy, my heart goes out to you and I am here for you if you shall ever need it.

Perkins’ Family- No words will heal your heartache but know you have a vast amount of people standing behind you. The world lost an incredible man but God gained one. Sending prayers for peace, love, and comfort during this time.

Although I didn't know Cody personally, I grew up with his mom Christie and knew her brother, mother and father and we also have a son in law enforcement around the same age as Cody! I know that this family is steadfast in their faith and that today Cody is present with THE LORD and that we will see him again and very soon! 
I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to Christie, her husband and the entire Perkins family, may JESUS surround you all with HIS LOVE, may HE comfort you as you mourn trusting in HIS promises with endurance, strength and peace! We LOVE you guys and are praying!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of sweet Cody... My prayers are that God well welcome him home with open arms. To his parents and brothers  there are no words to explain your pain but there is a God that will hold you and keep you through this dark season. We know Cody is gone too soon but the hope is,  to be absent from the body,  is to be present with the Lord. May you find peace knowing that Cody has received his crown.

Cody Perkins was my first good friend. His family took care of me like I was one of their own, and mine did the same. I’m going to hold on to those good memories of my good friend. I pray God continues to bless the family with the peace that surpasses all understand.
