Dale Allen Godfrey

A memorial service for Dale Allen Godfrey, age 75, of Willis will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Grace International Church with Reverend Joe Bogue officiating. Dale was born August 4, 1935 in Houston, Texas and passed away on February 20, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was an elder at Grace International Church. Dale was the infamous doorman at Sam’s Club.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter Suzanne A. Selensky. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, JoAnn Godfrey of Willis; daughter, Lucinda Sears and husband Wayne of Willis; sons, Greg Allen Godfrey of Willis and David L Godfrey and wife Kristen of Burlington, Washington; brothers, Robert Godfrey and wife Marge and Bruce Gillikin and wife Maggie, all of San Antonio; grandchildren, Jordan Selensky, Daniel Selensky, Jeremy Selensky, Britteni Sears, Nathan Sears, Mellissa Grace Sears and Marahia Godfrey; great grandchildren, Lilly Selensky and Gavin Selensky. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
