Born on April 12, 1960, in Conroe, Texas, Daniel was a devoted husband, father, Pow-Pow, son, brother, uncle, businessman, and friend. He was a proud Christian man, Mason, and Shriner whose faith, kindness, and love for others guided every part of his life.
Daniel met the love of his life Jackie Emmons on February 10, 1983 and they were married August 20, 1983. They welcomed their firstborn daughter, Danielle Emmons Solt in 1985 and their son Justin Murray Emmons in 1988. Daniel and Jackie were married for 43 years and everyone who knew them adored their love story and their devotion to their family and friends.
Daniel began his career working alongside his father at T&L Drilling. In 1985, he became a crane operator, where he earned the nickname “Gabby” because of his outgoing personality and gift for conversation. In 1999, alongside his wife Jackie, he founded Gabby’s Crane and Rigging, building the company through hard work, determination, and dedication to his family and community.
More than anything, Daniel loved his family. He was known for the deep love and respect he showed to his wife, Jackie, whom he always called “beautiful” and “his girl.” He never missed an opportunity to remind those closest to him how much they were loved. His kindness, warm smile, infectious laugh, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Jackie Emmons; his children, Danielle Solt and husband Shane and Justin Emmons and his wife Chelsea, who were his pride and joy; and his cherished granddaughters, Sloane and Remi Solt. He is also survived by his parents, Flynt and Janet Emmons; his siblings, David Emmons and spouse Melinda, Dean Emmons and spouse Rodney, and Anna Emmons; his nieces and nephews, Sara Jane Emmons, Nicole and Joe Munoz, Sam Gerhart, David Gerhart, and Christopher Forteich; and his great-nieces and nephews, Joey and Ava Munoz, Nico Munoz, and Austin Gerhart.
