Born on October 9, 1968, Dan spent his life looking after others. His goal in life was to help provide for his family in any way he could.
With just a high school education, Dan worked his way from busboy, to mechanic, to computer programmer. After finding his footing in IT, he continued climbing the ladder to Senior Database Administrator for one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world.
Along the way, he picked up skills in each trade, and spent time constantly researching things so that if anyone ever had a question, he’d have the answer. He could fix a sink, fix a car, and fix a perfect braid for a cheerleading competition.
A constant planner, Dan collected phone cords, charging cables and first aid kits and always had them ready to hand out should someone need one. While many might give the shirt off their back to someone in need, he was the kind who’d give someone his shirt, buy them a spare, and ask what else they needed.
Dan will be missed dearly by countless friends and family members, including his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his children Jeremy, Christopher, Brittany (and husband PJ), and Bella, as well as his stepchildren, Timothy (and wife Lacey), Ashton (and wife Heather), Shelby, Hollie, and Tyler (and wife Haylee).
To his children, he was a constant supporter, a listening ear, and a pillar of strength. He could give the best advice and tell the worst jokes, and only wanted to see his children succeed in whatever they chose.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren Birdie, 2; Kyla, 13; Jonathan, 11; Caydee, 10; Landyn, 12; Memphis, 9 months; Eli, 2; and Ava, 9 months.
He loved being a Papa.
Whether it was football games, cheer competitions, or a school performance, Dan made sure to support them whenever he could. For the younger grandkids, there were no rules. He lived to spoil his babies.
He was an irreplaceable glue that kept so many people together with his humor, wit, intellect and ability to connect with whoever he met.
Services for Dan will be held at 1 pm on August 8 at the Woodlands Church Chapel, 1 Fellowship Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
