Danny was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago and managed to function without assistance until about a year ago. He was transitioned to Mill Creek in Silsbee for round the clock care and to be closer to his daughter, Donna Montgomery, and son, Darrell Montgomery. Danny passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024, due to pneumonia complicated by septic shock and he was too frail to recover. His daughter Donna was with him when he passed away.
Shortly after High School Danny married Elanor Elaine Ward and they had two children, Darrell Montgomery and Donna Montgomery.
Danny later married Linda Brown and they had Christopher Heath Montgomery and Matthew Ryan Montgomery.
Danny worked in the oilfields at a young age and later on went to work at Conservatek Industries, Inc. in Conroe, Texas. After he left Conservatek, he formed his own company, Montgomery Construction. When he retired, he spent most of his quality time with his grandchildren, Alexis Montgomery, Shelbie Montgomery, and Riley Montgomery. He enjoyed the grands more than life itself!
Preceded in death by D.A. Montgomery, Audrey Montgomery and Gloria Politis. Danny is survived by his children, Darrell Montgomery, Donna Montgomery, Christopher Heath Montgomery, and Matthew Ryan Montgomery. His grandchildren Alexis Quinn Montgomery, Shelbie Nicole Montgomery, and Riley Heath Montgomery. His great -grandchild Ada Rose Rainer and her brother on the way ( Paxton Rainer).
Danny always put others before himself and would drop everything at a moments’ notice if he ever got a call from any family member, including his daughter- in- law and grandchildren. He was a true, loyal friend and a devoted father and grandfather. He always made sure that his children were taken care of and he provided for them. His joy in life was having someone to take care of, as he told us on many occasions.
Danny’s celebration of life will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 9th, in the visitation room.
