Carolyn and Butch, it’s easy to be in distress at a time like this. Losing a child is something none of us want to bear. Words come hard when trying to express my concern, sympathy, and love. 

I can say that we always treasured the friendship between our families, and this included the kids and, over the years, the grandkids – it was special.

It is with a heavy heart that I grief with you for the loss of Daryl. You do not get over the death of a love one; you just learn to deal with it – it will get better with time. 

I found this scripture comforting. May it also comfort you.

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Carolyn and Butch, I still can't believe our Daryl is gone. I will miss the loooong phone conversations with him. For someone who seemed shy to others, he loved to talk with people he loved. I know he is happy in heaven with Grandmama, Grandaddy, Nanna, Uncle Willard and Uncle John.
 I would love to hear the conversations he is having now. My prayers for you and the family are for the peace that surpasses all understanding! I love you so much!

I have so memories to share with like the first time I meet Daryl was at a parking lot in Tyler tx. Or like the first time at Thanksgiving dinner and meet some of the family I was so nervous but he made me fill comfortable and said everything will be alright.  I fell in love with him I guess soon after that. I think he will always be my first love.    I love you Daryl.    Nancy
