David Wayne Westbrook, age 66, of Conroe, Texas passed away peacefully in Houston, Texas on July 6, 2026, with his loving wife by his side. He was born on October 18, 1959 in Paragould, Arkansas, to Gale C. Westbrook and Martha Lamb Westbrook. He grew up in Paragould and graduated from Paragould High School in 1978. David attended college at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas and later moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he began a successful career in sales. His career took him to several major cities in the US, and he eventually moved to The Woodlands, Texas in 2002 when his career brought him to Houston, Texas as an area sales manager for Oce’ USA Inc, where he had spent the majority of his career. He married his wife, Denise, in July 2020, after many years of an extraordinarily close friendship.
Mr. Westbrook is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, as well as his cherished aunt, Margaret “Annie” Lamb.
Those left to cherish the memories he created are his wife, Denise; daughter, Hannah Westbrook Bierie, her husband, Shawn; son, Harris Westbrook; daughter, Mary Hollon Westbrook; blended family children, Kimberly Attaway, Nicolas Rodriguez, his wife Lesli, and Michael Rodriguez; grandsons, Brecken, Hayes, Boone, Tripp, and granddaughter, Catalina.
David was a member of Woods Edge Community Church in Spring, Texas, where he was an active volunteer until 2020 when Covid shutdowns kept him home. David was also a faithful attendee of AA and attended meetings several times a week. His prayer was for others to find a joyful life of sobriety. His love for his wife, children, grandchildren and pets was evidenced in the way his eyes sparkled whenever he spoke of them. He was known and loved for his outgoing personality, his mischievous ways, and his ability to laugh at himself.
Family visitation will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 10:00 A.M., followed by a celebration of David’s life and memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 East White Oak Terrace, Conroe, Texas 77304. A reception will follow immediately after the service.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Harbor Hospice who provided unwavering care and support through the last months of David’s life.
