Donald James Domangue, born on August 10, 1934, passed away on May 5, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and early in his childhood, his family move to Memphis, Tennessee. He attended Snowden Elementary School and Christian Brothers High School. He attended the University of Tennessee for one year and then completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Memphis (formerly Memphis State University).
After two years in the United States Air Force he joined Union Carbide where he spent the next twenty four years holding various management positions in Sales and Marketing in the Specialty Gas Division. After leaving Union Carbide, he joined IWECO Welding Supply as the Vice President of Marketing. He finished his career back at Union Carbide when Union Carbide acquired IWECO and he was able to retire at an early age and enjoy his passions – playing tennis and sailing. In retirement, Don and Amelia, his wife of sixty six years, lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, Tequesta, Florida, and finally in the Woodlands, Texas.
Preceded in death by his father Norris Domangue Sr, his mother Kathryn Reynolds, brother Norris Domangue Jr, and sister Marilyn Domangue, Don is survived by his wife Amelia, sons Don Jr and wife Lee Anne, Scott and wife Lanna, Chris and wife Christine, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
