Graveside services for Donald Beardsley Larson, age 86, of Montgomery will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery. Donald was born January 21, 1924 in Highland Park, Michigan and passed away on January 4, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Growing up, he was a boy scout and later a troop leader. He loved singing in choral groups and in the choir of the Mountainburg Presbyterian Church in Mountainburg, Arkansas. Donald enjoyed working for the church and playing duplicate bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marie Beardsley Larson. Donald is survived by his wife, Alice Larson of Montgomery; sons, Dolph Larson and wife JoAnn of Thompson Station, Tennessee and Kyle E. Larson and wife Tyra of Pearland; brother, Richard M. Larson and wife Meria of Grosse Pointe, Michigan; grandchildren, Devyn Larson, Danielle Larson, Dallen Larson, Aaron Larson and Shane Larson. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
