Donna Kay Shantz, 61 of Willis was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. She was born April 25, 1960 in Lubbock, Texas to her loving parents Donald and Loretha Roberts and resided in Willis, Texas.
Donna graduated from Deer Park ISD with a full ride scholarship for Volleyball, with earning an All District Honors award. She earned her nursing degree and followed that passion for many years. As she matured in life, her passion turned into gardening. She became a nursery manager at Lowes for many years following her nursing career. In her free time, Donna perfected her baking skills and making many sweets for Christmas. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and was known as Nana. All her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Aaron Michael Wilson and Royce Harley Wilson and brother-in-law, Michael LaRue. Donna leaves behinds her loving husband Richard Shantz, daughter Brandi Adams and husband, Holt, parents, Donald and Loretha Roberts, sister, Pam LaRue, brother, Steven Roberts and wife Esmeralda, grandchildren, Liam Wilson, Makena Wilson, Brett Adams, and Harley Adams, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, starting at 9:00 a.m. with funeral services to begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Garden Park Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers are Holt Adams, Brett Adams, Harley Adams, Liam Wilson, Shane LaRue, Josh LaRue.
