Edith M. Burnett Rushing, 96, of Willis, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was born on January 20, 1920, in Alma, Oklahoma, to George and Ora Burnett. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Tom Rushing; sons Kenneth Rushing Sr. and George Rushing. Edith is survived by her sons Nathan Rushing, and Jimmy Rushing and his wife Oleta; Sister Josephine Cross; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wells Cemetery in Cleveland, Texas at 12:00 p.m.
