He was married to his wife Lourdes Cirilo for 47 years. They met in San Juan, Puerto Rico while in High School and were a match made in Heaven. They raised two sons Efrain Daniel Cirilo and Emanuel Cirilo.
Efrain Cirilo Sr. worked for the Housing Preservation and Development for the City of New York for over 30 years. He was a man of God! He loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all of his heart. He was a family man who loved his wife, his two sons and all of his grandchildren.
He served God faithfully by loving people and making a difference in the local church. He was an Elder and served on the worship team at Iglesia Emmanuel in Middletown, New York. When he moved to Texas, he became a member at Wake Church where he served as a Greeter, Usher and on the Prayer Team.
He was a man of prayer. He loved praying for people. It was the highlight of his week. His contagious smile welcomed people at church every Sunday morning. His gift of hospitality shined bright during Wake Groups.
He loved his Puerto Rican Heritage. He loved listening to salsa and christian music and truly loved Puerto Rican food. He also loved driving his motorcycle and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
His favorite scripture was Psalms 20:4 NIV
“May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” He would quote it often to his family.
