Liz, known to many as “mom” and to even more as a dear friend, was the light of so many lives. Anywhere she went, warmth, joy, and empty tea bottles were sure to follow. Liz had a way of touching the lives of those around her, and making friends everywhere she went. She was stubborn to a fault, vivacious, loving, fierce and tender. You could always count on her. You could just about smell the sweet tea on her when she walked into the room, as she always carried it with her. She devoted her life to her children, and deeply loved her husband, Ted.
Liz’s love for life included taking care of her babies, no matter how old. She always had sound advice, a comforting hug, with a joke and her contagious laughter to follow. She loved telling stories about her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. SHE LOVED SWEET TEA, chapstick, and spontaneous fishing trips with her husband, Ted. That man couldn’t get away with going fishing unless Liz was right by his side. She found such joy in watching her children and grandchildren as they met each new milestone in their lives, and as they grew to be such unique individuals. She loved music, singing, and making fun of her children, when she felt they deserved it. She loved her home, not because of the four walls and the roof, but for the people and memories within it. Known for her spontaneous dancing, attitude, and quick wit, she will be missed by so many.
Liz is preceded, in death by her mother, Bonnie Sue Hodges “Nana”.
She is survived by, Her husband, Ted Carol Strother II, Her sons, Justin Mac’Ray Finney, & Lane Wyatt Strother, Her daughters, Randi Marie Entrican, Cheyenne Michayla Finney, & Grace Renee Strother. Her Grandbabies, Bonnie-Lynn Evangeline Brooks, Kylynn Rose Entrican, Annabelle Eloise Entrican, & Nolan Torben Entrican. Her father, Jim Hodges, Her brothers, Chad Hodges, David Hodges, Chase Bablitz, & Hunter Bablitz, Her sisters, Courtney Bablitz Chamberlin, Summer Bablitz Burgess, Sierra Bablitz, & Victoria Bablitz as well as numerous extended family members.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00pm in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
