Elsie Elyita Meadows was born on January 20, 1923, and passed away in Huntsville, Texas on August 31, 2015 at the age of 92. Elsie was a woman strong in faith and love for her family. “She was our mentor in life’s values”. She enjoyed activities such as painting, quilting and many more. Elsie was also an avid reader and collector. Preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters and her son Warren Meadows, Elsie is survived by daughters; Elyita Jones and Jane Meadows, son; Wiley Meadows, sister; Neta Fair and husband Tom, brother; Raymond Price and wife Pam. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great –grandchildren. Funeral Service for Elsie Elyita Meadows will be held at Christian Faith Church in Oakhurst, Texas on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11:00am. A private family interment will take place at Evant Cemetery.
