Elvira Remmert

Anyone who met Elvira would agree – her smile lit up the room. Her bravery and perseverance are a testament to God’s strength and provision. Elvira’s faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering. She was gracious, even in death, always thinking of others before herself. Filled with love for the world, she spent her life as a nurse, caring for those who were hurting and needed a bright smile and a kind word. Her proudest accomplishments were not rooted in her profession or her possessions, but in the beautiful family she leaves behind and who went before her.

Elvira is preceded in death by her husband, Gary W. Remmert, grandson Chase Haynes, parents, Benito and Consuelo Gonzalez, and brother, Carlos Gonzalez. Elvira is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Damon) Haynes and son, Jason (Elisa) Remmert; grandchildren, Xavier and Logan Remmert and Cole, Tyler, Madison and Naomi Haynes; and siblings Zulema (Tom) Taylor, Benny (Maxine) Gonzalez, Beatrice Davila, Richard Gonzalez, and Julia (Tony) Ramirez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Hall. Entombment will follow in Garden Park Mausoleum.
