Joe attended Sam Houston High School and graduated in 1969. After graduation, he attended HPD Academy. In 1970, he enlisted in the Air Force and later he went back to law enforcement. Joe went to work for Galena Park Police Department. In 1978, Joe relocated his family and went to work for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department, where he retired after 28 years of service.
Joe married the love of his life in 1971 in Houston, Texas and they had four children. Joe attended the First Assembly of God in Willis, Texas. He had a great love for spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Menville, children, Michelle Menville, Cayla Pittman and husband Andrew, Jamie Strouse, and Joe Menville II. As well as his grandchildren, Kaylee Bierwirth, Kallee Perry, Lawson McCaskill and Rylee Menville, step grandchildren, Joshua Pittman and Sophia Pittman, great grandchildren, Luke Mosley, Liam Cress and Waylon Cress.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Inez Menville, sister, Sarah Mayes and grandson, Gavin Slade McCaskill.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Hall with burial following in Houston National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
