Fines Lee Harris Jr., 60, was born July 15, 1965, in Houston, Texas, and passed away June 8, 2026. Born premature at 4 lbs. 5 oz., he was affectionately nicknamed “peewee,” a name that stayed close to him from the very beginning. Peewee was the 11th of 14 children, and from an early age he learned the value of steady work and capable hands—lessons first shaped beside his father as he began learning mechanics young and worked alongside him at Harris Transmission. He also carried a creative eye, known as an excellent sketch and drawing artist, pairing practical skill with quiet artistry.
A mechanic at heart, Peewee truly loved what he did. He had a rare gift for fixing just about anything set before him, meeting problems with patience, determination, and the kind of know-how that comes from years of hard work. Just as naturally, he shared that knowledge with others, never hesitating to help someone in need—whether that meant repairing something, lending a hand, or simply taking the time to show someone how to do it right.
Peewee’s love for his family was evident in the time he devoted to them. He cherished being with his children and those he held dear, and he was often the one ready with a joke or a story—bringing warmth, ease, and laughter into ordinary moments. His go-to phrase, “who’d a thunk it,” captured the lightness he carried with him, and those who knew him remember the genuine joy of being around someone who always seemed to have something funny to say.
In his own time, Peewee found happiness in simple, good days: fishing, going to the lake to barbecue, crawfish boils, karaoke, and playing pool. He also held close the dreams that spoke to his adventurous spirit—wanting to buy a boat and build his dream truck—plans that reflected his curiosity, his hands-on nature, and his readiness for the next good project.
Peewee was preceded in death by his parents, Fines Lee Harris Sr. and Juanita Louise Harris; brothers, Ricky Harris, Cecil Harris and John Harris; and sisters, Janette Huff, Raelyn Harris and Lanna Matthews.
He is survived by his son, Justin Harris and wife Alyssa Harris, and grandchildren Gage, Easton, Beckett, Slade, and Tate; his daughter, Kelsie Geeslin and husband Matthew Geeslin, and grandchildren Troy, Luke, Paisley, Paxxton, Pearson, and Decker; sister TJ Vance and husband Tommy; brother-in-law James Huff; sister-in-law Pam Harris; sisters Dee Harris and Juanita Harris; sister Rhoda Yackley and husband David; sister Shellyne Waller and husband Ray; and sister Jennifer Woychesin.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas with visitation one hour prior to service. The graveside will follow at 12:00 PM in Klein Memorial Park Cemetery 32509 TX-249, Pinehurst, TX 77362.
