Fred was born in Waco, Texas, to Bertha Lou Pietzsch (Bert) and Angus Frank , Pietzsch (Bud) on April 17, 1943. Fred attended school in Waco, Tx and in Fort Worth, TX , graduating in 1961 from L.D. Bell High School, in Hurst, Tx. Fred attended the University of Tennessee where he played football, graduating in 1965. After graduation Fred went to work at Tandy Corporation as personal assistant to Charles Tandy, in Fort Worth, Tx.
Fred later moved to Los Angeles, CA joining International Industries, focusing on the House of Pancakes, Frame Express and the Craft Showcase brands. Fred later purchased “Frame Express” focusing on manufacturing and selling picture frames while enjoying life and raising his two sons with his wife, Donna for 20 years.
In 1993 Fred moved to Dallas Texas to focus on sourcing product from Mexico and later owned, “Brazos Forge” manufacturing Chimineas and iron products. Fred met his wife Carolyn in 1995. They lived in Los Colinas and Colleyville, TX .
Fred retired in 2007, when he and Carolyn moved to “Bentwater” in Montgomery, TX. Fred enjoyed playing golf with friends and family, working out at the sports club, reading, watching sports and spending time in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico. Fred was beloved by all for his ready smile and outgoing personality. He was a wonderful friend, husband and father.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Angus Frank (Bud) Pietzsch, Bertha Lou Pietzsch (Bert), Donna Pietzsch Herring,
Fred is survived by his wife Carolyn McDade-Pietzsch, his sister Sandi Pietzsch Colby, sons, Tory Pietzsch, his wife Kara Dee Pietzsch, Todd Pietzsch, Karl McDade his wife Kathleen McDade, and daughter Molly McDade-Hood. Grandchildren, Donavon Pietzsch, Mieka Pietzsch, Barrry Hood, Amantha Hood, Calvin Hood, Adeline McDade, and Juniper McDade., his nephew Rikki Lackey, his wife Julie and niece Melody Sims.
