Gaylon Evans passed away on February 27th, 2021 in Pasadena, Texas. Gaylon was born to Emmett R. Evans and Dorothy L. Evans on September 2, 1950. He was raised in Pasadena and attended the public schools of Pasadena. Upon graduation from High School he joined the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was assigned to a destroyer which helped protect the aircraft carriers in the Gulf of Tonkin.
After the war, he returned to Pasadena and eventually got a job with the Maintenance Department in Pasadena I.S.D. He retired with the school district and lived in Pasadena during his retirement. Gaylon had a lifelong love of Short Wave Radio, and was very active in short wave radio, and computers. He also got into solar energy to use in his equipment. Gaylon also made many friends with his neighbors and participated in group functions on his street. He was greatly liked by everyone.
Gaylon is survived by his Sister Lana Ingram, and her husband Tom Ingram, and by his brother Derrell Evans and Wife Carol Evans, and many Nephews and Nieces.
A graveside service and interment for Gaylon will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Cemetery, Montgomery, Texas.
