Glenn R. Newland

Funeral services for Glenn Raymond Newland, age 70, of Conroe will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.

Glenn was born July 6, 1940 in South Bend, Indiana and passed away on July 6, 2010 at his home in Conroe, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Glenn worked for Brunswick Oil Field Tools for 22 years. He was an avid bowler. Glenn was a member of the National Field Archery Association and the Gulf Coast Archery League. He is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Newland of Conroe; daughter, Tammy Gilbert Randolph and husband Chuck of Conroe; mother, Bertha Turnock of Houston; brother, Donald Newland and wife Penny of Woodville; grandchildren, Christopher Gilbert and Tyler Randolph; and special friends, Jim and Rose Mary Gilbert.
