Mr. Griscom served 50 years in the appraisal profession for several entities throughout his career. He served as the first Chief Appraiser of the Montgomery Central Appraisal District. He also served as Assistant Chief Appraiser of the Harris Central Appraisal District. During this time, he also was elected president of the International Association of Assessing Officers and the TAAO.
Guy was the loving husband of Sheri Griscom for 60 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri, sons, Scott and wife Judy, Chris and wife Paige, grandchildren, Travis, Kayla, Greyson, Tyler and Jaxson. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 2:00pm in Garden Park Cemetery.
