Guy S. Kerchner, age 51 of Montgomery departed this life on Sunday January 27, 2019 after a short illness. He was born in Houston on August 20, 1967 to Gordon D. and Catherine Wiltjer Kerchner of Pearland, TX. He grew up and remained in Pearland, after graduating high school he started working in the oilfield related industries for the majority of his working years, including offshore, and finally as a shop superintendent for an oilfield equipment manufacturer. Guy loved his family, laughter, hunting and fishing with friends, relaxing at his river cabin where he hosted many family gatherings, cooking on the grill (he was very good at that) and having the last word. He will be sorely missed by his family and numerous friends. In 2011 he lost his youngest daughter, Love Christine Kerchner, age 5 months, a lasting sorrow in his heart.
Guy is survived by his wife, Wendy Kerchner; son, Levi Kindcaid; daughter, Casey and her husband Kurt Allen; grandsons, Koy and Kannon Allen of Weimer, TX; son, Kody Kerchner of Montgomery, TX; sisters, Susan and her husband Corrie Dominy of Alvin, TX; Denna and her husband Brandon Burkhalter of Baycliff, TX; Patsy Kerchner-Wiechman her partner Marsha of Frankfort, KY; brothers, Doug Kerchner and his wife Tammy of Pearland, TX, Jeff Pelton of Chicago IL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, TX, beginning at 2:00pm with the interment immediately following in Garden Park Cemetery.
