

Harry E. Nichols, Jr. passed away unexpectedly, at his home, at the age of 73, on June 5, 2018. Harry was a wonderful person that showed compassion for all that he encountered. He had a passion for dancing, travel, the lake and spending time with his family and adoring wife, Sandra. Harry Nichols was born on July 6, 1944, in Waukegan, Illinois to Bertha and Harry E. Nichols, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra Schrems. Harry is survived by his loving wife Sandra Nichols, his two daughters Laura Ruiz and Ann Allen and his son Harry “Nick” Nichols, III and his two step-sons Aaron and Nathan Milsaps. He also is survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Harry spent his childhood in Illinois and following graduation from high school entered dental school at Loyola University Chicago College of Dental Surgery to follow his dream of becoming a dentist. He earned a degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery on June 8, 1969. Following graduation, Harry was immediately drafted by the United States Army and began serving his country. He moved to Texas during his service with the Army and after being honorably discharged in 1973, Harry opened his own dental office in Huffman, Texas, where he practiced for 47 years. He retired from his dental practice shortly before his passing and was so looking forward to enjoying his retirement with his wife and family. The family will be celebrating Harry’s life during a private, family service in July 2018. He will be greatly missed by all those that had the pleasure of knowing him.
